Two years and seventeen days after I pulled my 2003 Honda Integra Type R from the streets of Sydney, it is with great pleasure that I now post the complete specifications of the car here now.
Our major sponsors are JDM Concept, J's Racing Japan and Work Wheels. Without the support of Leonardy at JDM Concept and Junichi Umemoto and Hisaaki Murakami from J's Racing Japan, this car wouldn't have been possible. I would like to say thank you many times over for their support and patience over the past two years.
All parts, where possible have been supplied by JDM Concept, an Australian owned and operated business. A large portion of what you see fitted to the car is off the shelf. The very same parts (legalities permitting) could be fitted to any road going DC5 Integra and ordered from JDM Concept.
Our goals for 2010 are exploratory. Needless to say, we are shooting for 3B champions in the NSW Supersprints and a strong showing at Superlap. Until we have completed shakedowns I have no real idea on what times are achievable. The car weighs just 948kg without fuel or driver so power to weight is going be be a strong point. 2011 is going to be our year of high expectations.
The specs included in this post are what we'll be running with for 2010 before switching to a new more powerful 2400cc engine for the 2011 season.
I would also like to thank the McCarroll Automotive Group for their assistance and use of facilities for the past two years.
Felix Alim, besides being a great person and one of the most likable guys around, is also a highly skilled photographer. He'll be shooting the car over the coming months and into the 2010 season.
A big thank you to the guys at JDMST and Club ITR who have kept a keen interest in the car over the last two years also. A especially big thank you to Club ITR management for the chance to get the car out there via the forums also.
In December I will be revealing the livery for the 2010 season. Needless to say, being a J's Racing car it's going to be wild and bright. More on that soon.
For those of you into Forza Motorsport 3 (how can you not be?) We'll be selling JRTA liveries for DC5 Integras on the storefront shortly after the design has been launched. These designs will be painted by none other than world top 5 Forza Motorsport painter, Special K OK. Add m0nty JRTA to your friends list to be informed of the availability on the storefront. The first 5 people to send friend requests will be gifted a specially tuned J's Racing DC5 Integra directly into their inbox.
This car has been a passion of mine for well over two years now. I am so happy to now be in the final stages of the development of this car. I appreciate and welcome all comments on the car and will continue to keep things updated well into next year when we'll compete in NSW supersprints and Superlap 2010.
Thanks and enjoy the thread. I hope this time next year we can report with all the achievements from the 2010 season.
And as they say at J's Racing....
