I know the layout for this thread isnt the best but i'd go ahead with it anyway...

My cousin who got me into cars purchased the car looking like this

he promised me when i was 16 or so, that when i'd turn 18 he'd sell me the car.

As i thought he was kidding, after finishing high-school in 2006 he told me of selling the car and settling down...
he handed me the keys and i bought the car of him after abit of lowering

And to answer the question about the plates:
I got it as a birthday gift from the girlfriend

I promised myself i'd like to keep the car as clean and mod-less as possible but to the contrary the modbug was soon on me.

All started with the car being lowered on some cheap nasty super long king springs and dead shocks.
Wanted to stiffer feel and was told coilovers would do the trick... stumbled on a set of HSD HR coilovers and thats where it all started...

Then came a set of random buys on a student budget in 2007

        USDM Amber Indicators
        C-pillar
        6000k HID's

        Facelift rear bumper
        S2K style antenna
        Mugen Twinloop axleback

          Then came the rims...
I was looking at a set of rims at a reasonable price i guess, knew abit here and there about offsets and specs.
Way backk i guess everyone wanted a set of rota's or some JDM styled rims without the heftiest price tag..

Thanks to a couple of mates i went lurking on the forums trying to find a set that would suit the purple,
i figured gold would go well and got a set of Spun Supamesh wheels; 16x7 +40's wrapped in Toyo Proxies4 and Rays extended lugnuts

Also bought an original si-vtec lip and a beaks bar for some subtle appearance mods

          then came more mods
gotta thank mates for getting me some pretty cool stuff for my birthday

got an xbar and a 98spec ITR steering wheel

did a small group buy... got package from the good ol' US
          ASR's and towhooks

ASR matched with the 23mm ITR swaybar works a treat, still one of the best mods ive done to this day

Interior i got an ITR shiftboot, Trust Gearknob and a red SR3 drivers side recaro

dumped the car even some more and got more photos done by some really cool photographers
(cant thank mr chrisjlim and vyet enough)

After thinking my car was complete... only to realise i was getting anal and greedy on aspects of the car i already did... i had more impulse buys

bought a PU USDM ITR front lip as the si-vtec lip got a hammering from daily driving...
although this one hangs lower i feel save that its not gonna snap into peices!

After going on a couple more cruises and realising my car was nothing more than a hardparker with not enough power to boot...
i was keen on doing some performance mods.

I dyno'd the car in July 2008. As i wasnt expecting too much i had a relatively healthy motor pulling out 93.5kw atw

[waiting to insert dyno sheet here]

The car from 06-08 was just a clean near bone stock engine with the exception of a BMC air filter and a mugen axleback that was just for pure sound.
            Decided to put some basic bolt ons so i purchased;
            Injen CAI
            Tri-y 4-2-1 header
            Magnaflow 2.5" cat
JDM password scratchplate, knowing the header will sit freaking loww
Also... got a some ITR rear seats, ITR handbrake cover and some desmond regamaster evo's in 15x6.5 +45... all impluse buys

Doing a basic 5000km oil change and realised the car was suffering from the lowered height on a daily basis...

            scraped stock header

dinted oil pan in 3 places...

Put the Injen CAI intake in, very loud! A couple of days after went to an exhaust shop a mate recommended and got a
SS Mandrel Bent 2.5" custom piping to make the header, cat and exhaust flow very well

Driving it after it was all installed was awesome, could definitely notice the power difference massively over the stock I/H/E.
To make sure i was correct, I went to a dyno day at A.R.T to get some evidence

April 2009 - I pulled what i thought was a very surprising figure... it pulled 109.7kw atw
Was very VERY happy with the result considering the cars that were there that day gave a pretty accurate figure

[waiting to insert dyno sheet here]

I enjoyed a good couple of months and especially cruises with the addition of the H/I/E, believing the car was near my stage of 'completion'

Couple of mates and I then went to the typical GOR cruise and stayed at apollo bay for 5 nights sometime during early July.
It was a great cruise except for.. SCRAPAGE. I had gone onto GOR roads beforehand and didnt know by the end of it, my exhaust
would have taken a massive beating. From the in-cabin all you could continously hear was a mild scrape here and there.... except for one long stretch of road where i was told sparks were flying out of my car!...
Needless to say i went to an exhaust shop to see the extent of the damage and it was not a pretty sight..

              the CAT

the scratchplate (this thing is a life saver)

still in the process of getting this problem rectified... but it will not be enough to stop enough of the bumpy roads and the mountains of speedhumps..

After continiously contemplating mods for the car, i got sick of the look... i stumbled across a set of wheels that would have been a gamble...
and eventually burned a whole in my wallet.

This was the last carwash i had taken with the rims that i miss all too well...

sold the wheels and was rolling on a temporary set

I paid a deposit for the rims and eventually needed to get a 5 stud to make them fit... as the rims took more than 3 months
to arrive for unforseen circumstances, i needed to roll on prelude stockies for 2 months, it felt like agesss.

Meanwhile, here were some other parts i gathered:

Yokohama Advan AD07's after a week of contemplation whether to settle on the Direzza DZ101's or the Toyo R1R..
Project Kics titanium lugnuts with a closed cap

Also impulse bought a new car battery for a very very good price

Decided to go with a whole new suspension set up so bought myself a set of Buddyclub N+ and F+R camber kit

After a 3 month wait, hundreds and hundreds of emails/phone calls/sms I had finally got the rims from QLD.

                They are..... Sprinthart CPR's 16x7 +30

very nice. i remember admiring your car from a carwash in burwood once, but i didnt know u back then - I was in my mild black 01 VIP'ed accord (now DC2R). thos gold mesh rims were a great design and still are.

u probably would know who I am by now.

your vtir made more power than my dc2r atw on taht dyno day. even johnnies red dc2 made more power.

Great read! Can't wait to see your car on the CP-Rs. What are the plans for the future of the car? You have some nice rubber you should test it at the track .

haha yes yes Jeff, how could i not forget.

I remember that day too, you saw my car when i was first starting off.
Have you still got the accord?

As for the dyno day guess alotta people were shocked about it, alot of honda's that day and competition was tough

                          Thanks Tom.

As for the future plans, not too sure as im pretty spontaneous... but i still hope to hit the track when im happy enough with the car.

Let me know when you're back near the carwash and we'll discuss further

As majority of the parts had finally arrived, now came the task to make them sit flush.

16x7 +30 doesnt sound much of a challange but putting the wheels on my car made me realise it wouldnt be as easy. I put the entire set on only to
find the rears were chewing through my brand new advans and paint was cracking off.
I also had to raise the front to make the car not scrub on straight roads... eventually looking like a true mexican fitment

                            (beware picture is pretty disgusting)

I eventually got the rear guards rolled a day after, no scrubbing issues whatsoever but it did the car looked like a 4WD (too bad I dont have a pic)

With the help of a Duy we made sure the rims would sit flush and back to the low height it once was.

Installed the N+ fronts coils and camber kit

Only got pictures for the fronts but damnn did it sit well!

Installed the rear camber kit as I havent received my LCA's as of yet...
All in all the wheels are sitting flush but I dont have any idea on the exact amount of camber I needed to achieve this

Those CPR's look awesome, good stance.
Keep it up man. Hopefully i'll have my ride looking decent by the time there's another meet.
