yep...you'd have to get one from japan, and they dont have the part number in the australian handbook thingy...last time i ordered a part from honda here and they had to get it in from japan, took them 3 weeks.

and sam, do the j's belts alow p/s? cause im not getting rid of that lol

Hey mate try calling Honda and see if they can get either of these part numbers:

31110-PRC-004 Belt, AC Generator, Non-AC
31110-PRC-013 Belt, AC Generator, Non-AC

They should be the Alternator/PS belts for the cars with no A/C .

just called honda mate, they dont even have those numbers on the system....exactly what phill told me would happen lol. new belts goin in tonight...thanks anyway for your help dude

so things left to do:

manifold (still waiting on machining shop to port match with t/b)
belt (goin in tonight)
oils
coolant
brakes (need new front pads, and front discs need to be machined)

then it's tune time

Haha oh well sorry I couldn't be of more service . It was worth a try. You are a brave man going without A/C in your climate. I can't even live without it in Tasmania .

still waiting on that manifold, as you can see. only difference to me is that the engine sits a bit higher in the bay...oh and no a/c piping....heading to syd on thurs after work...hopefully tuning will be done on friday...will keep yous updated with the results

Im pumped as well. This DC5R has been a challenge especially with the massive speed humps along the way which i guess you learn from your mistakes and know who to trust

Firstly I'd like to thank Phill (AKA DRHONDA) for building this engine for me and supporting me every step of the way Phill mate, you're awesome! Also i would like thank Scott at Insight Motorsports for the AWESOME job he did on the tune

here is the printout of the final result:




very happy with how the car performs...the torque is phenominal, and the power comes on very smoothly...after the engine is broken in properly, will be taking this to WSID for the real dyno
