dropped off the car at Phill's (Dr Honda's) place...just got home. pistons, rods, crank, oil pump and water pump housing are assembled. some pics i took when i was there:

bit of a speed hump in the build....the spec c's which i bought off someone ON THIS FORUM are faulty on the vtc circuit causing a rattle and loss of oil pressure at the vtc actuator. so now i have to get another set....very dissapointing. what would you guys do if you were in my shoes?

The problem lies between the mating surface of the camshaft to the actuator and when vtc is actuated it looses oil pressure causing the actuator to rattle badly. A new actuator was fitted with short term success.......
