see, the thing is the only evos ill consider are 04'> nothing older. and all the ones for sale are goin for like 35k> now for me to sell my car now, how much will get for it as is? 27k if im lucky? so i would still have to spend an extra 8k at least for a STOCK example. and then spend another 8-10K to get it really fast but still wont be as fast as a dc5r fully built and boosted....but will be more drivable and street freindly....im leaning more towards boosting my car183.2KW ATWBUILT BY DR HONDA

good point..........however, if u take ur time picking and choosing ur turbo parts for ur dc5r, and u speak with your tuner and explain exactly what u want the car for.................like mine, i believe it will be very driver/daily friendly and still have pleanty of power to like u say destroy and keep up with evo's................thats my 2 cents

Have you considered a supercharger? It would complement your NA mods and should be capable of producing decent power.Official ClubITR Sponsor: www.autosphere.com.au - For all your maintenance, oils and track needs.

supercharger would actually be the more cost effective route for the dc5r and safer to run.
If your planning on going turbo there are a lot of things that you will have to spend extra on to make it work. you will have to consider what size turbo your going to run that is one main part you don't want to cheap out on because it is the heart the setup. Also don't know if anyone in the area is a good tig welder for your piping.
For my turbo set up alone on my db8 was
Custom Manifold 800
turbo 1200
Aeromotive a1000 Fuel pump 300
Custom piping 500
Hondata s300 500
hks intecooler was 800
TiALWastegate 450
TiAL Blow off Valve 300
this is all in US Dollars
Supercharger kit done properly in australia would probably cost 4-5k Australia about 6.5k w/ kpro so if you do turbo your looking about 10k australian unless you plan to ghetto fabricate. Also tuning on turbo is a bit tougher because the knowledge on turbo honda's here in australia isn't that great. The life span of a turbo honda should last longer then 3 months if tuned properly with good parts. In america I've seen turbo set ups with stock blocks run for more than year now and they are still going strong running 14-18lbsLast edited by DrTran; 09-03-09, 11:30 PM."Death before dishonor!"
