KU36's... well, I've driven down to Canberra and back, and done about 3-4k km around Brisbane (not granny spec) and have been told that they still look new, and they are still quiet grippy.
I rate them highly!

. You are going to have to aggressively roll your rear guards and run at least a little camber front and rear. You could use a 245/35R18, there are plenty of decent tyres available in this size including the Kumho KU36. You would probably need at least -2 camber at both ends with this size depending on ride height.
