So a set of wheels I have always loved on the DC2 popped up, and I had to have them; BBS RG-F in 16x7+42.

As soon as I got them, I fitted them right away;

I wasnt sure if it would work, especially at stock ride height. I really like the setup. Can feel the higher corner speed and stability with the 16 inch wheels and wider 215 tyres.
I have also ordered a set of CW JDM DC2R wheels which most likely will be for sale soon. I will keep the BBS though.
These need new tyres soon, and I have ordered a few parts recently to get the car freshened up.
Really enjoying driivng this car, cannot believe how well the driving experience is stock. The gearbox oil badly needs an oil change as its hard to get into gear at timesLast edited by plAythiNG; 30-09-17, 09:25 AM.

last week my aim was to start removing all the aftermarket gear in this car. wasnt much so was rather straightforward.
Removed the whales penis intake, and reinstalled the stock airbox

I then went and removed the subwoofer and monoblock amp, and all the associated wiring too. I then removed the double din, as I plan to reinstall the supplied old Pioneer single din. This is for the intention of installing a spare compartment in the spare din, or some defi gauges ;p

I then proceeded to take off the wheels, and have a quick look at the suspension components;

I think is this part of the steering rack? Everything else seems to be in ok condition.
I havent been to my inlaws place in almost a month. The S2000 needs a fluid change after its last track day, and this car I am keen to get up on stands and change the front/rear rotors, pads also, and a fluid change for coolant, brakes, engine. Will not do the gearbox even though it needs it most as I will do this along with a clutch/flywheel change. I have ordered the 4.1kg Exedy lightened flywheel from the states, and an Exedy stage 2, 3 puk clutch kit from an unreputable seller on ebay. It most likely wont be delivered, so I will have to opt for an alternate sooner or later.

Was planning to service my car this weekend, but going to do some other cars instead. this car will go off to see Dedy at Top1 for a clutch change;

also got a set of JDM DC2R wheels in from Japan, however I picked up the BBS shortly after, and have decided to keep the BBS wheels. These will go to Sugz, and I will sell my second set arriving shortly.

There was a recent eBay sale, so I bought some RDA blank rotors front and rear, and also dealt with Johnny from Intima Brakes, and picked up some Type D front and rear pads, and some HEL lines. I'll use the RDA freebie pads on the rear, and keep the Type D for the S2000.

Cant wait to get the clutch changed as the car is slipping pretty badly now after a few releases of VTAK! Once I get the car back, I'll go ahead and change the entire brake setup, and coolant/engine oil change tooLast edited by plAythiNG; 05-10-17, 08:07 PM.

dropped my car off with the boys at top one, and let them go over the car;

All in all, not really anything out of the ordinary. I was hoping to delay changing my radiator till awhile down the track but might as well change it now.
Frans decided to drop the motor and gearbox due to the amount of work they are doing to the car;

Frans and Dedy said they werent too much of a fan of the exedy stage 2. Ive had the stage 1 in my old dc5, and it felt too much like oem albeit with a bit more bite. I wanted something that felt a lil more racecar like so I'm hoping the exedy stage 2 is a nice fit in between OEM and ORC.
ended up changing the following at 247,000;
engine oil
gearbox oil
water pump
thermostat
radiator
timing belt
sump gasket
cam seals
valve cover gasket
front main seal
rear main seal
clutch kit
flywheel
steering rack
rear engine mount
whats next?
i'll install the lines, rotors, pads soon.
i will look to get some federal rsr fitted on to the bbs soon along with a wheel alignment
the rear trailing arm bushings need doing on the car. I've ordered a full bushing kit for $400 from Prospeed Racing, and I'll look to do these over time.
Will try and aim for a 20/11 track day with this car.
I've also purchased Bryan's old b series oil cooler kit. I'll see if I can get some block off nuts for his set up so I can install the oil cooler without gauges for the time being.
Looking forward to hopefully picking up this car this afternoon!
