Hey guys I'm Kevin, I recently turned 20 a couple of weeks ago and this is my pawn shop.
LOL jks, I'm just a broke uni student over here in Perth, of which has the smallest Honda community in the southern hemisphere lmao, and yeah I just wanted to start a little thread of mine to document the extremely slow and at times disappointing progression with my current car - an '01 Silverstone AP1 S2K.
It definitely isn't as ballerific or hard core track spec as some of the other crazy builds on here, so please be gentle ..
I've owned the S2K for a little over a year now, however before that I had a 2005 NHBP base model Integra DC5 which was officially my first ever car. I spent all of my earnings from running tables at my uncle's restaurant and stacking shelves at a local IGA and put it into this over the course of about 4 years. Obviously as it was my first car a lot of lessons were learnt, but I am eternally grateful for it and would love to buy it back one day..
First week
It's last days..
It was loud, low and obnoxious, and I loved it.
Back to the present, I have owned the S2K for a little over a year now. After selling the Integra, a little beater EG Civic and all the DC5 parts that had yet to go on, I was able to purchase the AP1. The car came with the CE28s you see on it, Spoon Monoblock calipers and busted Koni shocks and springs. And red neons....
First days.
So the car came with a scratched up front lip, and the first thing I decided to do was fix that up. An easy job nonetheless, however I learnt the hard way that there are in fact 4 different shades of Silverstone for the S2000 WTF. So I was driving around with a slightly off colour front lip for a while, before I decided to redo the whole thing. While at it, I decided to buy a duckbill spoiler as well because I just wanted to be different from the other dime a dozen Silverstone S2Ks out there.
Not long after, there was a Honda night held at the drags and I decided to take the S2K out for some fun. Didn't know how to launch it properly so best I could manage was a 15.1 lmfao. I didn't even know how to do a burnout.
A couple months after, the caveman-spec head unit was replaced and I added a subwoofer for maximum hektik. I also purchased and installed a Flow Designs front splitter and attended my first track day in the car. Also purchased and installed a 70mm Invidia test pipe to match the Q300 system.
After numorous spirited hill runs and the track day, I was sick of sliding around in the factory leather buckets so a set of DC2R Recaros and Bride RO rails were purchased. Also purchased and installed a set of Tein Flex Type Z coilovers.
Recently got a good deal off a mate for this HKS intake, which looks and sounds amazing, with a noticeable increase to throttle response.
Also a bunch of other things I've bought and done to the car that I can't really remember of right now haha.
So yeah, this is how the car is at the moment.

Currently waiting for a Whiteline 30mm sway bar to arrive. The ride height is not very practical for my liking so after I buy a new set of tyres will definitely be raising it. The UK spec alignment that I am currently running is awesome though, hoping it to be even more amazing with capable rubber. Next up on the list are some new tyres obviously and brake pads! Hopefully I'll be comfortably track ready by end of this year or early next year. Unfortunately, plans are slightly on hold as I am saving for a trip to Japan mid Jan next year!
More to come as time goes on
