    from EP3R to DC2R, now in a S2000 (starts Page 3)

So long story short; I used to have a EP3 which I sold to get a S14 and I needed a new daily as my subaru died and I also wanted to get back into grip so I ended up with a dc2r :P

    The old gal

    Rudolph

    The new piece

The car came with your basic bolt on I/H/E and alloy rad, nothing too exciting or exotic there.

I ended up buying some wheels for it before I actually picked up the car haha, they're still about a month away
Nothing exciting, 16x7+42 te37, going to diy refurb them when they arrive haha wish i got air freight

A rwc and transfer still needs to be done which i cbfd lol, mainly because i have to get new tyres which i'll only use for about a month (haven't been able to find anyone in melb with wheels/tyres that I can borrow) >.>

nardi, coilovers, tyres and pads will be the next things for this car, I'm still trying to source a jdm front conversion but am having absolutely no luck and nobody know's who I can ask in melbourne to source one either

A respray will also be done and I'm thinking of a colour change, but i'm just not sure on which colour just as of yet

I'll update this thread soon with more stuff, just my account is currently drained from buying this and getting stuff done for the S14 haha

Haha the paint looks good due to camera magic. It's had some cheap respray in the past but looks okay enough for now haha

How does it feel going from an EP3 to a DC2?

It feels more raw and nimble I reckon. Everything in the interior of the ep3 felt so tall too, the dc2 feels more sporty inside. Would be perfect if it had a k20a as well :P

How are you liking the b series compared to the k in your ep3? I know it lacks torque down low, but is there any thing else? I'm planning to do a k swap next year.

I have a MR dc2r aswell, amazing car to drive stock, and if you do it right...they just get better.

The b series was honestly quicker than I expected with just bolt ons and doesn't feel too far off a stock dc5r.

In the hills the power is more than adequate, I haven't tracked it yet so can't comment there.

It's hard to compare because the ep3 was tuned and I don't remember driving it when it was stock haha sorry but a tuned k20 would obviously be nicer.

I've driven k swapped eg's and dc2's before too, there's no denying that they're damn quick but it honestly boils down to what sort of driving you do and how much you like your license haha

A few updates rolling through, got new tyres for RWC - tried out some 595 evo's as they were very cheap new and seem to be decent for the price for street/hills driving but haven't pushed them too far.

Unfortunately no updates on my TE's shipping since the 5th of last month lol

And also Got some goodies through Elusive racing, can't wait to fit the shifter and bushings :P

Ah I've wanted to upgrade to the Pro Circuit shifter, let me know how you go with it! How much was it if you don't mind me asking ? I've currently got 'normal' B/D series shifter and am trying to justify the upgrade. Apparently it has an increase in height but you can't rotate the angle around anymore (?). Regardless you'll love the feel of the shifter bushings. I recommend the Circuit Hero tear drop gear knob to pair with the shifter. It's my setup atm and it's got a great motion to it.

yeah for sure will do haha, looking forward to feeling the difference of both the shifter and the bushings
I wanted to fit it tonight but got too lazy by the time I got home

It was $320, a bit steep if you ask me but when it comes to blingy quality billet goodness i can't say no LOL

I actually quite like the feel of the standard shift knob haha or else I was also looking at either the Carbing or Spoon ones

fitted it. Shifter bushings made a huge difference compared to what I thought they would haha. Shifter feels good too

inspected bushings, front LCA's and RTA's are shot. Will be ordering and installing the hardrace hardened rubber bushing replacement kit soon, fun times ahead lol
