We consired to update the ABS to 1999-2000 EK9 abs-unit but those cost a lot and we aren't sure does it fit with K-swap. We need to left something to update so our long winters will not be boring.

Nothing major hasn't happened. Passenger side door is now assembled and waiting for door cards, but we test fitted the steering wheel and owner tried it.
In picture you can see Mugen pedals and Mugen handbrake knob.
Also we ordered new final drive from Spoon, 5.1 ratio. Offcourse new ring gear bolts and shims to it. New JDM DC5 5th gear set ordered too to make little bit closer gearing on 4-5 gear and still keep one highway gear.
New engine doesn't make power before 6000rpm so need get tighter final drive to get more torque to wheels to make it accelerate better. Also it revs higher so top speed doesn't change that much. That 5th gear change is needed because it doesn't make 500hp, so need some help to accelerate better to 220-230km/h which is about max speed it can get on Finland's racetracks.
Left side is original EUDM gearing with new 10500rpm revlimit and right side is modified EUDM gearbox with 5.1 final drive, JDM DC5 5th gear and 10500rpm revlimit.
We rebuilt gearbox shifter "tower" assembly with new parts, old shaft was bent and ruined the plate which holds it in place. Also changed the shift springs to firmer MTEC springs.
New JDM-stuff came too from Spoon. 5.1 final gear kit.
