        Thanks Napo!

After owning RPF1s for about a year, an opportunity came up on Facebook to buy SSR Type Fs at a special price. It was one of the last sets from factory as SSR was discontinuing the Type F range. The size was perfect however I wanted them in silver and not in flat black. At that price, I couldn't be too picky and it was one of the wheels I always wanted since they were not too popular and rare to come by.

        Wheel and tyre set up:
        SSR Type F
        F: 18x9.5 +22
        R: 18x9.5 +22
        with 215/45/18 all round

        Tunnel Vision!

            Alright alright, geez.....

So after getting defected before my trip down to Melbourne for Certified 2, I decided to get it cleared and use the SSR for one last time before I sell them. When I returned, I had plans to refurb a set of BBS LM F1s by smoothing out the gutter rashes and respraying the lips with an extra coat of clear.

At first, I must admit that I wasn't that impressed with this current set up and couldn't figure out a reason why... Alex had previously told me when deciding for LMs, you need to go an inch higher due to the lip and two tone colour of the wheels. This wasn't the case for me since the LM F1s are in one colour.

After a lot of pondering around, I decided that it must have been the wheel gap and that I need to go lower. Sugi and I tried multiple times to lower the rears but the Buddyclub N1s made it really difficult due to the inverted design. Since the rear coilovers bushings need to be replacing (a common issue for Buddyclubs for the DC5/EP3), I thought it would be wise to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I went to JDMYard and got them to lower the rears at the same time when the coilover arms were out.

This solved everything! The rear bushings were fixed and the ride height was just spot on. No more scrubbing and I can turn corners at speed again. This has turned out to be one of my favourite set ups and won't be selling these wheels anytime soon (I made a mistake with my SSR by selling them).

Thank you for the kind words. I like all my wheels and find it hard to pick my favourite one.

After the mod bug started itching again, I decided to get some polished Regamaster Marquis Promada for the WTAC show n shine. Once again, things don't go to plan and the shipment of wheels were delayed. The next big event was ClubITR's annual bbq so I had them cleaned up for that weekend. I won't say too much because to be honest, I weren't that all impress with them. Maybe you guys have a different opinion of them?

                        with Federal RSR 235/45/17
                        R: 17x8 +35
