    My Thunder Grey DC2

Hi guys and girls. I’ve been getting requests by mates to start a build thread so here it is. My name is Jake and I’m from the western suburbs of Melbourne.
This is my first car that I’ve bought since I’ve gotten my probationary license (before I had a little Hyundai for khanacross events).

    Enough of the boring stuff!

Here is my 1993 Thunder Grey Honda Integra VTi-R (Yes it’s not a type R ). It was mostly stock with an Audio system, ISC coilovers, type R steering wheel,
rims and a forced cold air intake that came with the car. Also I got an engine rebuild kit, RWC and 1 year’s rego with that

Checking the underneath before buying it.

    Day I picked her up!

The only problem with the car at the time was the clutch beginning to slip sometimes so with the help of my uncle we got down to business and
installed a new clutch and flywheel.

    Old vs. New.

After the clutch was done and dusted, I began to look into minor performance parts just to make the car feel more unique. With that I got myself
a full 4-1 exhaust system and also scored myself new chrome intake piping.

My rocker cover gasket started leaking a tiny bit and with that it was time to respray that peeling red paint off the cover. With a new colour!

The cover was sprayed in ford blue with white touch up paint for the lettering. It turned out way better than expected. I also got Skunk 2
rocker cover bolts while the cover was getting painted.

I went on to buy a type R dash and cluster. They were in perfect condition just needed a wipe.

Removing the dash was kind of hard for a first timer.

Obtained a facelift rear bar and bumper to add before the paint job.

Before the car got taken to the paint job the gearbox broke (final drive ripped into millions of pieces) and also a leak from the clutch
reservoir started leaking. With that I bought a little tank to accommodate the new brake fluid.

The paint job is coming out well so far.. never knew there was this much work. A few issues with the painter has slowed down the process
but should be back anytime this week

A few more progress shots of the front. Rad support is on and painted and the fenders are nearly ready for painting! Car should be ready
                  within next weekend =D

Got the car couple weeks back. Here it is at the MCM (Melbourne Car Meets) meet last night.

Future objectives is to get a better set of rims and hardcore engine/suspension work for track
