Thanks for the kind words everyone. I did have an old beat up Amuse exhaust which I sold to Hau - who has since sold his DC5R.

In my opinion, Powerhouse Amuse make some of the best off the shelf exhausts available. I purchased the Amuse R1 Titan Extra - special order to suit the Mugen rear lip. Many thanks to Jesse Streeter for helping me out once again. Hopefully one day soon I can get a sound clip of how heavenly this exhaust sounds.

As of today, two years have passed since I took ownership of this car. I really can't believe how much it has changed since the day I bought it.

Anyway, I'll try and get back to the update format that I used before for the build thread:

    31 October 2013
Car was dropped off to Custom Bodyworks. Work did not start on car for a while.

    9 December 2013

IVT-33C plates were surrendered, DC5RR plates were picked up. The fellow who owns the 'DC5R' plates was not willing to give them up. I got the idea of the double R from the Mugen RR. Seeing how the car is moogen'd out now, the double R seemed right.

    17 December 2013
Car has been painted, now to put everything back together.

    19 December 2013
Everything is basically done, car just needs to be cleaned up.

    20 December 2013
After two months in the shop the car is finally back home!

    24 December 2013
I dropped by Top One to get the new Amuse R1 Titan installed.

    2012:

    2014:

Couple more updates to come before things go quiet for a while.

Car is looking amazing as always Shak. Probably the best looking DC5 I've seen, its so clean! The black and white plates suits the theme of your car but I think the car looked a lot more meaner with the red and white ivteec plates, my 2cents =P.

Nah the red and white plates looked tacky as shit. Black and whitw ftw.

Nice choice of plates and I'm happy you didn't stick with the red.

I'm after a more simpler, and cleaner look now. To me, the IVT-33C plates represented the old car... I wanted something more suitable to this 'new car' :P

                  Thanks guys.

So it has really been a while since the last update. I was talking to Alex (plAythiNG) tonight, and he reminded me about the build thread's lack of updates. I've also found out why the pictures from my old Xperia Z showed black dots/specks randomly. After going through a few pics from my old phone and googling my problem, I've come to know that there is dust or dirt on the camera lens within the phone... So much for the Xperia Z being dustproof :P.

Not much real updates, just pictures of random events/hardparking mainly:

                  29 December 2013

So I had been spying on Norm's steering wheel setup for a while as I had always wanted a steering wheel with the NSX-R horn button. I bit the bullet and spoke to Norm, we worked something out, next thing I know he's personally delivering it to me from Perth (and installing it too)! How's that for good customer service :P

I met up with Norm one morning outside his hotel while he was in Sydney. It was really good to finally meet Norm after chatting to him a couple times on the interwebs in the past. One thing I really love about ClubITR is how it is a really close knit community between the 'regulars' as I like to call them.

We had it installed in around 30 minutes and then the rest was history. Felix, Nate, Norm and I met up again for dessert the same night or night after which was nice and chill. The steering wheel is great, could be a placebo effect but I feel I can control/steer the car a bit easier :P . Sadly no pics of the installed wheel yet, see below for a picture of the actual steering wheel.

                  6 January 2014

I had the brake light shaved from the boot for a cleaner look so I needed something to replace it. Ordered some cheap LED lights to put on the inside of the rear glass so something is there for my third brake light. It's not that great, still unsafe and I'm still looking for a better option. No pics of them installed unfortunately.

                  16 February 2014

The tip of the Amuse exhaust was a bit too close to the rear lip for my liking. Even though this was the version to suit the Mugen rear lip, it was still a bit too close. I knew I needed to space it further down somehow but I got lazy once again and left it for a while. The exhaust ended up burning/melting the rear lip a bit. Silly Shak... I ordered these extended hangers which has now fixed the problem.

                  20 February 2014

I was talking to Victor, and a couple other CITR guys about going down to Melbourne for Certified II (and to rep CITR over there of course!). Victor and gang were keen on going! Andy and Fahad dropped by to help me tape the car up for the long drive. I don't know if the tape helped in regards to stone chips but it helped in keeping the car bug free! I won't go on in detail about the whole trip as it would take too long. I'd like to say thanks to the Melb CITR crew for the good hospitality, and showing us around. Also special thanks to Jaz for letting me park the car at his place over night. Thanks to Fahad, Simon, and Sugi for helping tape the car for the return drive home. Big thanks to Fahad for being my drive partner :P

Check out the 'raccoon' that got stuck in Sugi's grill haha

                  30 March 2014

Just dropped by the Honda Social meet which was 'sponsored' by ClubITR :P . Was good to see a few familiar faces on the day who I haven't seen in a while.

Nick caught me checking out Nico's NSX, look at my folded jean bottoms :P

                  21 July 2014

Went to Top One for it's first service in a while... Also had to discuss a few things that needed to be replaced in the near future. Just a minor service as well as transmission oil, replacing the spark plugs (they have never been changed on the car), and replacing the primary o2 sensor (which has given me the CEL, and crappy fuel economy since I've purchased the car).

Apart from these little updates not much has changed on the car. At this point in time I won't be tracking the car till next year. I've been extremely busy with work and will be busy for a while. Also a bit tight on funds regarding the DC5 as I have purchased another vehicle (more about that later). Currently a bit confused with what I want to do with the DC5. Over the two and a half years that I've owned it, I've only driven 15,000km's - most of that was literally highway driving... :P

Is it a co-incidence that I mentioned another car, and your car just sold?!
