    Mattatnoosa's Black Sheep

    Mod List as of 13/04/12

    Interior:
    Alpine bluetooth headunit
Type S 6in in the doors

    Exterior:
    OEM AP1 Lip

    Suspension:
Type1R coilovers (yet to be installed)

    Wheels:
    Mugen MF10s (17x7.5 +52/ 17x8.5 +59)

    Exhaust:
    Invidia V3 (LOUD)

    I picked the S2k up on 1st of January 2012, before that I had a white EP3R:

Ended up having massive issues with it and losing alot of money, My dream car was the s2k anyway.

I picked it up with 109,000kms on it, for a resonable price.
Got to work, found some Mugen MF10's for sale ahttp://forum.clubitr.com.au/images/editor/separator.gifnd snapped them up:

One had a bit of gutter rash that I haven't gotten rid off yet..
Same time I got some lock nuts to keep the boys safe.

Couple weeks later went to the jdmst EOMM, met a couple of guys from the forums, including Matyi

I ordered an OEM lip off ebay,

    Got it painted:

    and installed:

And bought some Type 1 racing coilovers off an ozhonda member, I shall be getting them in a couple of weeks when they arrive..

Hopefully with a little tinkering I should get some nice fitment with the coilovers..

This was all going well until I started getting some epic slippage from my oem clutch,
So I ordered a Competition Clutch Stage 2:

    And a 9lb Flywheel...

Figured I could wait a week or two while they come from the U.S... 3.5 weeks later they shipped -_-
So I've been car less for a while, missed the last jdmst / downshift meet etc, I'm hoping it all arives this week, get it installed next week, weekend after get the new coils in.

I also bought a Invidia v3 dual tip exhaust of Brad (the 'vtec' blue s2000 owner) a week or two ago and shall spend my day off tomorrow trying to get it installed...

I generally go to the jdmst meets etc, so If you see me feel free to say hi (y)

    Update (9/4/11)

    New exhaust went in today...

    Had to jack it up:

    Take the rear bumper off:

Get these stupid rubber hangers off... Silicone spray ftw!

Put the jack under old exhaust, didnt think a sudden drop was the best thing...

    Camparing the two:

Took it for a quick spin afterwards, LOUD are my first impressions, sounds like an F1 car in tunnels when you reach vtec though (y)(y)

    10/4/12
My clutch arrived in brisbane today!! so I'm hoping that I'll get it tomorrow, get it installed next week!

Also scored a trolley jack off gumtree for $20! min height 140mm, after the new suspension i know my car wont fit, so I plan on going to bunning and making some small 30mm ramps or so..

    13/04/12
So the exhaust is stupid loud, told Brad about it and asked him if he still had his Apexi ECV, he does! So sometime next week I get the pick up the ECV which should make the car a little quieter and a X-brace!

    16/04/12
Picked up the Apexi ECV and Xbrace from Brad, both never been used, the ECV looks really solidly built which is reassuring, but the car is FINALLY going to the mechanic today to get the clutch and flywheel put in.... on another note, this happened:

    20/04/12
Got my car back from the mechanic yesterday, sooooo good to be back! clutch is lighter than before, and seems to bite a little harder, this made for an embarrasing exit from the mechanic lol.
Apparently my fuel sender is stuffed, so I need to source another and take it back, because atm it seems to chew through fuel...

    04/05/12
Ok Time for a bit of an update...

Ill post pics later but what happened was the release bearing / throwout bearing came apart after a small ring split, luckily it didn't damage anything else but unlucky for me and my wallet...

I got an OEM bearing this time and the mechanic said it looks much stronger, that and when I asked brad what he ran in his with a stage 4 he said OEM.

In other news, did a pull against a 99rex from 50-60kmhr and beat it by over a car length at about 130..
Also stayed with a my11 rex (2.5l engine) doing the same speeds, clutch felt good, spun the rear wheels going into 2nd and chirped 3rd lol.

had to let someone else grab the suspension because the car was in the shop so much, so I think next mod will be hardtop...

Still have the xbrace and ECV at home waiting to put in, lack of time / help is delaying it happening, really interested to see how quiet and ECV makes the exhaust, and how still the car is with the brace on...

    Pic before I broke down...

      Nice one Matt!

Agree it does look good. The S2000 really needs a front lip as well. Glad you're ordering that.

Not sure yet, there's some issue with 5th gear atm, seems like whenever I hit in say 1st-2nd-netural, stop, then progress through the gears, I get to 5th and it's impossible to put in, after 10 or so times of trying to put it in it gets easier and easier and then fine, until I hit again... Got a mechanic to look at it and tried a honda known fault fix, fixed it for a week and now its back.. so until thats fixed no. But my aim is to get a hardtop next and then a supercharger kit, hoping for at least 350RWHP.

S2000 is dope man. Defs needs more low though. Hopefully you can get the gear issue fixed and hit the track. Plans for the SC sounds awesome, be keen to see how it turns out!

Enjoy forking out cash for the hard top :/ Know which one you plan on getting?

                          Nice s2k!

                          Welcome.

Your right about a good forum, I admire your sacrifice of model specific information for a good online community!
Honda Nationals, September 9-10, get amongst it!
