    My DC5 Rescue

hey so ive been on here for a short while now and wanted to show you guys my cars transformation or rescue if u like. i bought my DC5R around 2 years ago, it had a disgusting body kit on it at the time but only 60000km and an engine in great condition so despite what it looked like i bought it anyway. Here is what it looked like when i bought it, all riced up.

Ok now so the first thing i thought needed to be done was definitely get rid of that body kit. I decided to go for the stock type r front and rear bumpers which i sourced out from Japan in championship white so i didn't have to repaint them. It was a pain to bring them over though and i got swamped by customs fees haha, but at least the car looked better. After this i got a pair of Mugen look alike side skirts as im too cheap for real Mugen stuff haha, and also swapped out the chrome angel eyes for the OEM headlights. So now the car was looking much better.

Next i thought i'd do some performance mods, so i bought a J'sracing cat back which sounds amazing in vtec and an injen CAI. I had planned for a full exhaust system to be installed as well as JDM ITR camshafts and a hondata tune but considering im only on my P's and money is short ill keep that for later on down the track. The car was still on stock rims and a ridiculous stock height at this point so i decided to drop it through a set of Silvers Coilovers which i got for real cheap and to adjust the camber on the rear i got a hardrace camber set.

Now time for rims! I didn't have much money to spend at this point so i started browsing the forums for a cheap set of used rims. At first i had wanted to get Enkei rpf1's as they just look soo good on DC5s, but that being out of my price range i ended up with a set of 17x9.5 +23 GP sports gravity wheels which im told are made in Japan and distributed by Greddy. Thats pretty much it so far, the only mod im considering for the nearby future is to get some new tyres put on but other that that ill let my wallet have a break. Thanks for reading

Here are some photos of what it currently looks like:

yeh man it had two massive subs in the back which i got rid of and replaced with one small one so i could actually use my boot haha. Yeah the rear bar is from a jdm dc5 which is why the NSW license plate doesn't fit properly.
