    My 2nd DC2R Honda Integra Type R

Hi guys. I'm back with my 2nd DC2R, this time it's a black one. I'm sure you guys know the car well. It's been through a few owners who have taken great care of her. Log books are so stamped up, over so many pages that there's only one page left to go before I (or the next owner) need to somehow source another log book to stamp!

I've got a few things on my mind regarding this car. I'm looking forward to hearing some opinions from you guys. I'll save it for the next post below.

A few things that I want to sort out right away:

    - PLATES are on the way. I bought some plates before I bought the car, haha.

    - AUDIO: Car came with an Alpine head unit. I can see cables in the passenger side footwell, they look ugly. I also have an AMP attached behind the rear seat in the boot. When I lift the rear boot floor I can see 2 cables going to nowhere. I assume someone before me had a sub woofer in the boot. I hate fancy Audio gear, extra weight, doesn't look OEM. I'd love to put the OEM stereo back in there if possible and remove the AMP from the boot and all wiring. Any suggestions?

    - JDM OEM DC2R Visors: Drivers side is coming apart at the top left corner of the door. This annoys me.

    - OEM Honda S2000 Antenna: What does the OEM DC2R one look like? A lot longer I assume?

    - Brake callipers were painted red, the red is flaking off! Super annoying. Rear Ferodo brake pads make noise when reversing out of driveway in the morning, once up to temp the noise mysteriously goes away though, all good.

And now for an insight into what I've been dealing with (at war with myself) over the past few days of ownership:

        Option #1:
Restore the car. Keep it stock, refresh the entire suspension set-up. There's a bit of play in the steering wheel, car feels a little old, not as sharp as it perhaps should be. Sure she handles great but I think she'll be amazing if I was to refresh the suspension. I'm talking LCA's, all bushes, shocks and springs even, all brand new OEM from Honda. Also to hunt down and buy genuine OEM optional side skirts and rear pods, repair them if necessary, paint and fit.

        Option #2:
Re-inspire the new kids who are rocking crazy stance on fake wheels, fake lips, cheap coilovers and heaps of USDM crap to go JDM again. We're talking the full Spoon catalog, or Mugen or a mix of quality JDM parts - Spoon headers, callipers, Mugen Intake, Fujitsubo RM01 Exhaust, 16inch Forged Wheels... throw some good old quality rice in too: Spoon socks, carbon plug cover, wiper blades and even having fun with radiator/oil caps,

        Option #3:
Turbo it or K20 swap (though I'd MUCH rather turbo the B18C with a turbo kit - HKS perhaps as I LOVE HKS). I couldn't get over the lack of torque for the first 3 days. The GTI was so much faster than this, both on the street and on the track. This car is so gutless it's nuts!

        Thoughts appreciated!

Option 1 by me. As you said too many have fake shit on it just to have "mods" on the
Car. I always admire a clean, stock looking dc2r. U have the 16" itr wheels already, that optional kit for the sides and rear and u have all eyes on you, not
To mention cheapest out of the three
Options whilst equally boring to mod.

Perhaps stick with Option 1 for a while ... enjoy the car stock. Then later down the track do Option 2. If you keep the car even long enough (plus enough funds), do Option 3

Why not enjoy each method of styling
