Thought i'd finially make up a build thread about my BYP Sponsored DC2R on ClubITR.
After owning a EK4, i purchased a DC2R with a basic K24 conversion. I loved it, plenty of power and looked awesome, was a massive upgrade from the standard B16A2 i had in my EK4.
Through considering engine builds/swaps for my old EK4 i met the BYP boys, and once i had the DC2R for a couple of months, they convinced me to come down to the track. After that first track day, i became hooked, and from there i decided the basic setup would not be enough.
I started off basic,
Spoon Calipers for abit more braking power, Stiffer coilovers, Hardrace bushing kit replacing those 11 year old oem bushings, Hardrace front & rear adjustable camber arms, adjustable toe arms, braided brake lines, Earls oil cooler, and some wider rims
I then went to my first track day at Wakefield park, straight away i noticed a massive diffrence in the car, the stiffer coilovers and bushing kit made it turn in alot better and more percise, while the spoon calipers slowed me down faster. This made me alot more confident to push my Integra and my driving abilities to its limits. After having heating issues in my first track day, the Oil cooler solved all those issues, and the car ran very solid for the whole session, every session. Between two drives the car saw around 100 laps, by the end of the day, with no issues at all, and no burnt oil, this was very impressive. The car having power, and no LSD (5 speed base model gear box) it was a challenge and this made it very fun to drive.

After that i started to get abit more serious, and purchased a racing seat and Takata racing harness. Also chasing abit for stiffness in the rear, i came across a super rare Beatrush X-Bar and Spoon rear strut.

I was really enjoying my Integra both on and off the track, but the time came when the standard K24 and 5 speed box wouldn't be enough. Having many diffrent cars as inspiration, i could of chose many paths to go down, but i decided to follow the BYP boys and Sportscar Motion ITR (US) with forced induction K-series build using a Rotrex supercharger. The reasons for this are pretty simple, other than the massive power gains over a built motor whilst keeping realiability (street car yo!) and no heating headaches as a turbo setup, the main reason is proven results. BYP were very sucessfull with this setup in their track EG which to this day still holds recoreds at Wakefield park and Eastern Creek. I later learned this will be the first street registered Rotrex supercharged, k swaped car in Australia, which was even more incentive!
Wanting a more "revvy" motor, i decided on a BYP K20/K24 motor with some cams (Stage 2) to be paired with a Type S gearbox with Wavetrac LSD along with the Rotrex C38-61(the baby s/c :P). The bolt ons are very important and this is why custom ASP headers were chosen along with a custom 3" Liverpool Exhaust, exhaust, RBC manifold with BYP port and Skunk2 74mm T/B.

Kinda went abit crazy ...
After a road tune, the car was good to go, and boy did it live up to its expectations AND MORE! I still remember the first day i drove it, i could not belive how fast this thing was, it was really insane. The response from the supercharger is unbelivable, picks up speed so quick, and never stops gaining. The motor the boys put together for me was a beauty, very revvy and very good low end tourqe (2.4 FTW!) would of made a very good N/A motor! The wavetrac LSD was quite and not so agressive such as ATS and Cusco, which was perfect since the car will be a daily. The big suprise and why i love this combo so much, the car drives normal daily, you would not know it had ~250kwatw, it was great, IMO the perfect street/track combo. Even with the big 74mm T/B and no cold start or thermostat, i never had any issues driving this daily ever.
After the swap i and BYP was very keen to see what it can do, so we took it down to WSID to see what it would do on my shitty street tyres. Not expecting much, with full street trim, the car ran a 12.3 @124.88 MPH, with basically no traction first 3 gears, nearly 125 MPH was very impressive, showed the car has power and bucket loads in a car that weighs almost 1,200kg w/driver. Later that month the car saw Wakefield for the first time since the build, and we trested out a custom BYP splitter for the event.
In poor conditions, and old shredded tyres, the car performed very well, and we were very happy with its first outings results. The car was a handfull in the wet conditions and was very tuff on me being pretty new and in-experienced to tracking. But saying that hitting 200+ down wakefield straight IS FUN AS HELL! I knew my driving would have to improve alot to be able to drive this car fast.
After that i decided to purchase some 17" CE28's and AD08 tyres which lead to me entering the Advan Neova Cup, AD08 were by far the best tyres i've ever had (buying shredded semi's for $200 was as good as it got for me until now). The car now sits on top of the Neova Cup leaderboard over Evo's, Skylines and a Lambo! and broke the previous AD08 lap recored (1:07.4) held by Ovi's Evo last year, with a 1:07.1. Being a high powered FWD car thats very impressive on street tyres.

During this time i also attended the Street Cover/ClubITR photoshoot, was good to meet a few of the ClubITR people and see some really well presented cars espcially the DC2R's .

With Honda Nationals coming up, and my car still being a handful, it was time to change a few things. Most noticable would be the massive APR wing that was installed, along with the splitter being re-installed. The added downforce was just what the car needed, it is so much more stable at high speeds and gives me alot of confidence when traveling around the track, espically through Wakefields kink! Looking for increased corner speed, a few things were changed with the suspension. Tein Super Racing's was purchased (only street car with SRC's?), along with roll centre adjusters and PCI bronze bushings. This made the integra alot easier to turn in and hit my lines, the stiffer front is wonderful. I reccomend the roll centres and PCI bronze bushings to anyone that hits the track alot, makes a massive diffrence.

With Nationals just around the corner, the AD08's will not do, with no corner exit speed due to no traction i needed to get some semi slicks, so Advan A050's were purchased.
