looks good... but doesnt look "hot"... just my opinion.

the looks on the original F1 road car would be hard to beat though

interesting that they built their own blown v8 though, pity they havent released any specs on the car. Interested to know how much it weighs with all that CF.

well the Mclaren F1 was 1100Kg with BMW V12 in the back...
          surely this must be lighter..
the Mclaren F1 GTR was 950Kg

yeah... one would expect it to be lighter,

BUT, the F1 was also built extensively with CF so it was already crazy light for a v12 supercar...

i doubt they'd be able to get it much lighter than the F1 GTR version...

            but lets wait and see.

I can see alot of similarities with the current ferrari F430, especially in the front end.
The thing i like about this car is that Mclaren claim its a complete new design which doesnt cary over anything from the previous model, meaning everything was designed & built from scratch. Im not to sure about a twin turbo v8 being the best engine of choice as i would have thought a high output 12 cyl would have been the way to go. but quenjose is right, the predecessor is gonna be a hard car to top so good on them for producing another

                what am i saying...

i doubt we'll have to wait long before mclaren jump on the bandwagon and mark another record lap around the nurburgring...

i was quite satisfied with the new design until i scrolled to the picture with the old model next to it. it reminded me how perfect the old model looks. less tamed, beautiful lines, a rawness you don't find with newer super cars.

I'm guessing a kerb weight of 1300kg. After all it's a Gallrdo/F430 competitor, not an F1 replacement. A mass volume supercar if you will.

this is what it should have really looked like.

the HTT Plethore resembles the lines of the old model alot better than the design mclaren came up with.
