I am just wondering if the parking officer actually takes a picture of your car when you infringe the parking offence?

I have received a parking fine last saturday and on the fine itself, the registration number stated on the fine is not the same as mine. Do you reckon I can get away for not paying the fine because of this?

if its not ur rego number, how did you get the fine? was it mailed to you? I would call up and ask for an explanation.

it was sticked on my screen wiper.. but instead of "DC5R". It was written as "DS5R"

do they take the car pic with the plate number as well or or just the car and the sign? I will ring them up tomorrow and see what happen.

Matt, yea it was a parking fine only. My gf saw the sign wrongly and I got fined

lol most parking infringement officers nowadays take photos but you can always request it just in case

I know for a fact Sydney City Council Rangers take photos.. i've seen it!

Not sure about the other councils though

Perhaps I should take photos of them when they park in the No Parking zone outside UTS to go and fine students with expired/no tickets.

They take a picture of your car and the parking sign.

I see it all the time outside my work in melb.

Chances are they got a picture of your car vippy but the parking inspector was a nub and plugged in your rego incorrectly into his ticketing machine.

I've seen them take pictures out at Springvale. I guess it might just be if they are lazy or not.
