Hi, I used to drive an CT9A but due to a very unlucky situation, I lost my license for a hefty 18 months, and had to sell the car as it was going to sit and depreciate. I know this might not be a good thing to say I drove it while I was on P's still. So you could possibly imagine, I suppose, immature things I did. But I have to admit I only really pushed the car once as it was my first and final offense I ever made in that car. I might have been lucky, but I blew it. Anyway...

Oh I'll just add some personal details here I'm 22/Male/Melbourne.

So I've done some basic research on DC5R's, it was the original car I was supposed to get during my P's but got convinced to go with the CT9A, just wanted to learn as much as I can before I buy it.

The car I'm looking @ is of the follow details
- 03' CW DC5R
- 64,000 Km's
- Mugen Side skirts + Front bar (Which has been cracked)

Now... I've been looking for front bars to replace it with and I've got a question that I tried to search on the forums for but didn't succeed with.

Does anyone know where I could possibly get a replica or genuine C-West N1 II Front bar from ?

Or could I possibly get peoples opinions on which front bar to get?

TeMp from this forums has a C west N1 version 2 bumper, hopefully he will chime in with details on where he got it.

I would just get a stock front bar. Easier to get hold of, cheap and fits like OEM .

dc5rs are great cars - especially in cw.

just have to be careful of the bolsters on the recaros they can be annoying getting in/out of.

I got my front bar through a company called Evo Motorsports in Canberra but the expereience was terrible. I ended up air freight the front bar over from Japan Cwest.

You can actually directly order for Cwest japan online and quite possible cut out the middle man.

There were no replicas when I was looking for this front bar but I am not sure if there is any now. Quite possible there still isn't any as this front bar is still very rare.

I'm on p's with 1 point I can't get caught with power mods atm :| least not until next year to play it safe.

man power mods dont do shit for ur points. If your on the older P's system then all you gotta watch out for "may" be power to weight in stock form. Unless you car looks like a bucket of rice, you probably wont get pulled over unless you drive in stupid areas and/or drive like a fool.

Hrrm... If that's the case I might spend on power mods... cause when I got reissued my P's I'm apparently on the new P law restrictions. But you have a point they wouldn't pull you over unless I did something utterly stupid. I let my mate drive my car and he got rock chips in my paint >.< I'll probably spend on getting everything to how I like it before I start doing power. I'm very meticulous about how my car looks rather than power.... I mean I kind of want a mugen bonnet and front bar with a wing... just hesitant on how to spend and what to spend on. Probably need to get closer with a few people and see how their cars are.
