Portable ipod speaker dock suggestions - first ipod for me

Hey guys, buying my first ipod and portable speaker dock.

Getting a 4th gen ipod nano.

I want portability (ie can run off battery), reasonably small size and fairly decent sound quality. Running the ipod off a micro hifi is best bang for buck for SQ but I want something that can run off batteries and is portable.

1st choice - Bose Sounddock Portable seems great, but quite expensive. I dont think it has an AUX jack either?

2nd choice - Altec Lansing im600 (the im7 is too big for my likings). I hear that an inmotion max is coming out soon. I like this as has AUX jack and radio.

3rd choice - Logitech anywhere 2. Not that overall impressed with this.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Edifer make a great sounding dock which can run off batteries, the altec lansing usually sounds poxy tbh, we sell them at work.

I recommend you take your ipod with you and test out some docks for yourself.

To find the Edifer, JB-Hifi or The Good guys sell it.
