Do you mean your tv doesn't support Full HD 1080P?

If it's as simple as you have no picture then while the PS3 is in standby mode, press and hold the on/off button for 5 seconds until the beep sounds. After a few seconds it should adjust to suit your tv.

No, your TV does not need to be 1080P to run GT5. u can run it on a nasty CRT if you want.

no, its works fine on my Sony LCD tv, but not compatible with my BenQ LCD computer monitor
