    Driving to the snow

    hey guys and gals. Planning to take my car to the snow real soon. No one else wants to drive so i gotta take my car -_-. anyone got any tips or anything? besides don't skid of the mountain?

    in nsw you have to carry snow chains even if you don't need to use them.

        yeh theres signs everywhere on the mountains for that....obviously who wants to risk not bringing it. What about antifreeze?

            it's a legal requirement. some people don't want to shell out the cash it costs to hire them, especially if weather conditions are relatively clear

                I'd say 90% of cars manufactured after 1980 come with anti-freeze already inside them...

                if he car is ready - the most dangerous aspect of driving to the snow is:

                other drivers

                dont be one yourself!

                stay alert and focused on the road and yopur relationship to it and you will be fine...

                remember that if you are driving in ice/snow, braking distance is about 10x as long as it is in the dry...
