    life after a dc2r

    hi guys n gals,
atm im planning on selling my dc2r.

i am yet to go test driving but im keen on a s15.

the point of this thread is to find out whats out there that will provide as much excitement day to day as an itr for the same amount of money.

what have you guys owned either before or after an itr which is as much fun or more fun for the equivalent cash or less.

im keen to try rwd having never owned one but only driven a few. turbo wouldnt be bad either. after all i am going to try new things.

        Rwd is... another experience.

Although as a Fwd I cant fault the ITR - Rwd always will be in my blood ;-)

Well i def know what my next type of car is; AWD Turbo! theres nothing better in my mind than having such power in all wheels. I drove my mates 99 sti for the first time on the weekend which was pretty nice, but still the ultimate car imo is the evo VII and above.

lol alot of evo talk hey,
yeh i wouldnt mind an evo 6 tme but then again its out of my budget.

by budget is around the 20k mark or less.

unfortunatly atm im after a RWD so no more evo or sti options altho it would be a r34gtr if i could afford it.

im after opinions or reviews or comparisons of the itr to such cars like mx5's s15's s13's hachis etc...

My previous car was an S15. And now i am driving a DC2R. All i can say is its totally different. On the S15, you cruise much better, it has better sound insulation but you have to be on the guard for portholes and puddles of water. Just a small puddle of water is enough to make you go sideways. The DC2R is much more forgiving in such areas. Go ahead and try the S15. Seriously speaking, i miss the power of the S15.

yes, an s15 can be sideways happy at times.... though for around the 20-25k mark, with all the imports coming it, it's certainly a good deal. test drive one and see what you think, they are different to the teg in all ways.

OoOoOo Pazz... at the same time I can't wait for your new car, but will miss your teg.

if i were you, i'd def go the S15. They are awsome fun, and reliable too, which is what you'll be wanting for a daily driver. I'm pretty sure you'll just LOVE the RWD and power of the S15 - they are light too. Mods respond more happily with the S20DET, rather than our B18C's.

Don't think about S13's and hachi, they are just too old. And... you in a MX5... i'd laugh, and would you fit in one? Potential hazard if it flips, much? Although I must say, as underpowered as the Mx5's are, they are by far the funnest things I have ever driven...

Hey have you considered an IS200 / Alteza?

ben i thought i would be getting alot of responses like that. it is a honda forum after all but then again i did notice alot of guys move on to s15's evos etc.

well rix im after ideas such as altezzas its why im asking in here after all. there also heaps of jap imports such as aristos cefiros etc. but they to big and heavy me thinks.

iv been in charlies altezza and its awesome. looove it. but i havnt driven it...

Vincikwan - what made you sell your s15 and buy an itr? was your s15 modded?

Are you after something more lux Ilan?
                          Something not as "raw"?

Cause ive got a few mates that went from ITRs to S15's and they love the power etc, but they still think that the ITR is near the perfect drivers car.

If you after something different, different kind of fun and feel, s15/Evo for sure.

                            MX5 or something...

For 20K I wouldnt expect much from the s15 you would purchase (condition wise).
