    PDA phones.

I want to replace my mobile with a PDA/phone.

Currently looking at the HP rw 6828 (http://www.hp.com.au/rw6800/)

Does anybody have one? Like it or hate it?

What other products are there out there that can sync with outlook open access and excel files and have wifi?

Wouldn't all PDA phones running windows mobile be able to sync with outlook and open access/excel files?

Another contender is the O2 range of PDA phones.

            Have used my cousin's one.
Atom's screen is alot clearer than the older XDA mini.
It is also of a bearable size IMO.

Good compromise. Be sure to get tomtom on it and a GPS receiver
Ask cambo if you need advice on that front

Another thing you might want to consider is the amount of aftermarket accessories available for the PDA phone.

                    Just search ebay and see
Things such as screen protectors, silicon cases, car chargers etc...

                          Good point.

I found another two contenders, although I don't think either are out yet.

The HP 6828 is a rebranded o2 atom - in the similar fashion that the older i-mate jam was a rebranded o2 mini. The buttons are the same, the layout is the same and even the same sequence is required to hardware reset both pdas. The only difference I saw was the flip out screen on the HP as well as the rebranded software. Both are great in my opinion however I'm happy with my mini atm and can't justify the upgrade.

My g/f on the other hand has the Motorola A1200 pda/phone which runs Linux. I expected it to run faster than Windows mobile but it dissapointingly is much slower. The menus and layouts aren't the best and it didn't seem as configuarable as the windows mobile platform. The screen, sounds and aesthetics were however very nice. 10 times out of 10, I'd go with the windows mobile based system. The linux based ones just aren't for me at the moment.
