    Your experiences with taxis.

    hey guys.

I dont know about you, but i've had some pretty shocking moments with Sydneys taxi drivers - driving and being a passenger.

Any memorable moments when youve encountered one?

A girl at work got sexually harrassed by one when he put his hand on her leg which is pretty disturbing..

I swear 80% of these guys are complete fuckwits.

Took a cab from the city to out west, about 40 minutes drive.
He made us pay up front before he would start driving, he was afraid we'd do a runner.

        $300 ride?

        Where did you go? lol

I've had a taxi driver kick me out because he got a larger fare on his CB.

I took down his details and rang the company but i doubt it did anything.

$780 ride before...syd to canberra.....when it's a long fare like that...they dont charge by the meter, they call up the taxi center to get a set price and you have to pay for their return trip as well

^LOL why did you get a cab from Sydney to Canberra?

Yeh i get yelled at alot - usually when guests at the hotel are just going local. Its gotten to the point that i won't give them fares or just tell them to fuck off.

My experiences in cabs have been pretty good - however I REALLY hate the way they think because they're "just doing their job" that they can cut off other drivers, not use indicators, cut lanes on roundabouts, leave their highbeams on all the time, etc etc....

A taxi driver nearly knocked me off my pushbike once!

just got off a red eye flight from perth to syd. gf was sick from a tuna sandwich she had on the plane. i told the taxi driver not to talk because she is sick and feels like vomiting. then he started driving like a d**khead and telling us how she has her period. then decides to come up with some b/s that she is pregnant and has mornign sickness. i wanted to punch him in the face.

and i thought our taxi drivers in perth are bad.. (just bad drivers)

i had a head-on collision with a half asleep taxi driver a few years ago and one of my passengers had an epileptic fit, not a good experience!

Had a taxi driver ask us to get out and walk half way through the trip when traffic got bad. Tosser!

"It's not far now! You can walk the rest of the way, won't take you long!"

Told him he shouldn't have picked us up if he wasn't going to drive us there. We made him drive the rest of the way (:

We were nowhere near the destination. F*cking liar!
