I think you'd find 4 months is not ASAP.
If it was dealer in NSW I'd say contact the MTA or fairtrading to get a refund.

honda always put asap on their contracts.....that way they can cover their ass, they can say 5 months is the quickest they get the car in. and as if a saleman will let you stuff up his quota LOL

Should never sign a contract as ambiguous as that.

I've read from various places that if my car does not come within 3mths, then I can get myself a full refund.

I'm not sure if that applies to me because I've just looked back on my contract and the area where it says "preferred delivery date" was left blank! Is that where the ETA supposed to be? Can I use that against them?

Luckily enough, the Honda and Volkswagen dealership is from the same motor group and VW told me they can actually transfer my desposit from Honda with no penalties.

After Honda hearing the news that I was about to purchase the Polo, they rang me this morning telling me they're able to provide me a CRV as a loan car until my car arrives. Shouldn't they do that earlier instead of out of desperation??

Oh well, my heart still goes to the Polo Gti - but I've waited so long for the Civic lol ... *sigh* decisions decisions...

              Go the polo.
Stuff the CRV. They should've offered it to you earlier.

If you're set on the civic then maybe say CRV as loaner + floor mats + weather shield and you'll stay. If he hesitates then just cut him off and say "Don't worry, lets not waste each others time anymore. Can you or can't you?"

Haha! about time you got something from Honda! 4 months sounds a fair while! One chick here at work waited like 3 months for a new Civic! She received her about a month ago! Good luck!

take the CRV and thrash the fuck out of it, then give it back after a week and say you're still waiting too long, and go with the polo

The recaro of Colt is from Evo 8 MR. (Said to be even better than Evo 9's recaro). There's no official number for the colt, but the euro Colt turbo fares 7.2 secs (but then again Euro's number is always doubtful) Since the spec of colt is slightly better than Polo GTI (8.2 secs), hence it should do 8 secs flat or very high 7 secs.

If you think it's abit expensive, you got to think how much extra you are getting when comparing to a Polo GTI.

For how a Colt fare on track, i'm sure those who went to the latest Circuit Club at Eastern Creek can testify on a totally brand new stock Colt fare.

But either way, you will be happy. Polo GTI is always on my shopping list until i decided on the Ralliart. Polo is more refined, more class, hence more suitable for streets. Colt is more raw, more sport focus, hence more for track.
