I've been calling them for the last 3weeks and they still have no bloody idea when the car is going to arrive - all they did was kept giving me false dates and getting my hopes high, I've just basically gave up and moving on lol
Well if all goes well on Monday and if I work out a good deal on the Polo (which luckily they do have in stock with my colour preference) it's goodbye Honda and hello VeeDub lol
Guess there's going to be a name change to ryan_FD to ryan_GTI huh
yes, see if you can walk from your contract, cos honda have the right to charge you 5% + the deposite you paid if you decide to cancel what you;ve ordered

2nd hand cars can be covered under a warranty.. i just bought a 2001/02 dc5r from a honda dealership with 46,000 kms and i was able to get a 3 year warranty...
i'm new here but my partner just bought a polo gti. She got leather (any colour and any stitching she wanted), chipped to 154kw and 17" Wheels of any choice with contrinental spec 2 tyres, and tinting for $33,000 on the road. thats a good setup for cheaper than the civic. it is nice leather too i must say. and good torque and power.

It's ultamitely up to the dealer whether they allow you to back out of the contract.
If the dealer refuses to cancel the contract, i would go to a contract laywer for assistance.
The dealer has the right to charge you 5% of the car's value.
Try to look for some flaws in your contract, if there is 3 or more errors then the contract is voided. Also if they are using the VACC contract, dealers usually leave out the "signiture of autorised trader.." So they can make more money off you when the car arrives.
