    Sorry, D80 doesn't offer that ability. You need a D200 to achieve what you stated, even though both AF systems use Mulit-CAM 1000, but I assume Nikon crippled it deliberately for the D80.

    If you want to focus on a certain area and blur out the rest, use a telephoto lens with a large aperture.
    The most expensive is not always the best, but the best is always expensive.

        Nope, but like NeoNode said, you can control it with your aperture size.

                            im planning to get one myself when i go to HK... wats a good camera... bang for buck... wanna get the 400D but apparently i heard Nikon makes better camera... hmmm... soo... wat do u guru's think...
