Question for all: I'm thinking of getting a 17-40 F4L lens and will be selling off one of my current lens....which one should i let go??

- Tokina 12-24 F4 (Good wide angle, but not really a fan of its low light ability and sharpness)
- Tamron 28-75 F2.8 (extreme sharp, but poor low light ability )

I just read this post and I think if you replace the Tamron with the 17-40 F4L you will be disappointed. Yes the L is quieter but it won't be any better (if at all) in low light ability. Better off getting 16-35 f/2.8L

Wowww....just wow! LOL I have to admit that there were times when I thought of switching to Nikon. With the D700, those feelings are creeping back in again

The screen on the Nikon D300/D700/D3 simply shits on the Canon 40D/5D/1DMKIII but then again they are both newer models to the Canon.

LOL Canon has been focusing more on the consumer/prosumer market rather than coming up with newer/better cameras for the higher end user/professionals.

I wonder what Canon has got next though

I think its going to be the upgrade from the 5D.. Some full frame semi pro body..

don't forget they just released the canon 800mm f/? and 200mm f/1.8 lenses..

HELP! Is anyone willing to loan me any Canon 70-200 lens for tomorrow (Sunday)? I'd be happy to exchange with my panoramic film camera if anyone is keen to try. Happy to provide cash/beer in exchange for the lens too!

I've ordered the 70-200 F2.8 IS but its still held at customs! It arrived in Sydney on Monday but its still not cleared yet

LOL fair enough. I tried to hire one on Friday but they need all sorts of documents, etc and will take a couple of days to process. Guess i'm gonna have to zoom with my legs!
