Traffic police patrolling the Hume Freeway near Benalla, were "stunned" to see a Nissan Silvia Tourer coupe travelling towards them with both occupants sitting on the door frames with their upper bodies completely outside the vehicle.

WTF are they trying to achieve?

Police stopped two cars illegally racing on Pascoe Vale Road, at Meadow Heights, in Melbourne's north. The vehicles were being driven at 140 kph in an 80 kph zone, and were seized for 48 hours under anti-hoon legislation. The 38-year-old woman driver of one vehicle and a 33-year-old woman driving the other car are expected to be charged later.

Nothing impressive on speeds but I've always said Men aren't the only hoons on the road. I was once passed by a completely unplated BB6 Honda Prelude on the M7 driven by a female @ over 190KM/H in the wet whom later got pulled over by a fully marked SS travelling well over the speed limit as well up ahead.

A policeman was forced to draw his service revolver when a motorist pointed an apparent firearm at him. When police approached the car they saw the driver tapping what appeared to be a firearm, which was resting on the dashboard. One of the two police on the scene drew his service revolver and ordered the man to take his hand from the weapon. The man pointed the firearm at the officer, then gave up and was arrested without further incident. Police then realised the man had an imitation firearm.

If this was trigger happy LAPD, he'd have been executed on the spot. Why in the world would you carry around a fake firearm and only to use it at the most retarded moment ever conceived? Pointing a firearm real/fake at a law enforcement official? Ned Kelly wannabe? I'm never ceased to be amused by how many stupid people are walking this planet.

Patrol officers conducting random speed checks noticed the man as he travelled south along the Hume Highway at the Goulburn bypass about 2am (AEST) yesterday. The officers clocked him driving at 178 kph in a 110 kph zone, police said. The 27-year-old Mt Pritchard man, who is a serving officer at Marrickville Local Area Command, was issued an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 kph.

How the heck is Mr Mt Pritchard going to be able to carry out his general duties? Possibly reduced to only a desk job when the LAC is one of the worst areas needing foot soldiers to go outside and battle criminals. Heck, he should be put in court for more than just a speeding ticket. Cops who break the law need to get double the punishment at least. This is just plain ridiculous.

Commoners and first time offenders get shafted hard by the courts system on such issues/concerns which seem to be the biggest and worst criminal conduct our legal system has perceived thanks to endless media and political propaganda.

A first time offender I know who would do similar speeds will get a tougher sentence before some overworked/underpaid magistrate. I don't see how gun carrying cowboys should have it any lighter. And I'm sure he wasn't speeding because of a life threatening emergency.
