Need a little help in regards to customs

So, i have this package coming in from us of a...........its quite abit more then $1000 aud ..... and the sender forgot to put gift/under $1000.

Yesterday i got a letter given to me outlining the choices i have and its all abit confusing for me.

Does anyone what to do from here? Anyone with personal expeirence in this situation before? Or does anyone work as a customs broker?

    Thanks guys

You go to customs (clyde/lidcombe). Fill out forms. Pay your duties. Take the package home.

Was there an invoice or price of items sent attached to the package? If there is then yes, like fueltank mentioned above you'll have to pay duty, customs fees, etc then they'll release the package.

Yes, IIRC its 10% and if its freight cargo(pickup yourself near the airport) then there will be a $66 collection fee and $33 for an Import Document Fee for shipments below 45Kg's. Anything above that will be a further $0.275 cents per kilo.

That should be sufficient to clear your item but with customs, always be prepared for surprises.

I'm pretty sure if you fill out these two forms you can send/pay via email or post & they'll send you your package if you're too busy/lazy to go to the customs office.
