    INSURANCE for P platers.

hello guys, Just having some trouble finding insurance because of the silly title of "high preformance vehicle". The only company that would insure me is Just Car.

Do any of you guys know of any other company who is willing to insure p platers and "hpv"?

i have to renew my insurance in teh next week or two.
i have found just car about the most reasonable for premium, just watch their excess tho.
im not on my p's though i had a crash about 18 months ago and there were lots of companies that wouldn't insure me.
doesn't really answer your ? but just cars is not bad if you cant find any one else

Since you are in Melbourne, try RACV as well.

                It's for a 2006 type s.

Yeah, the excess for Just cars was $1600!! RACV was more expensive than just car too.

I've decided to go without insurance ..

if you're a safe driver, you wont need to worry about how much the excess is because that is how much you would have to pay for at-fault accidents. you're risking a hell of a lot going without insurance with a new car.

^ yes, the quote i got from just car is under my dad's name, who is a rating 1.

also most companies have said that they're not willing to cover for anything if i was the one driving the car.

i was also joking about not getting insurance

I might just go with just car.

dont forget the reason why it is so expensive - because you are such a HIGH risk...

a P-plater going without insurance is like shouting in a hungry lions ear!
