Wakefield Weekend

A bunch of us went to Wakefield over the weekend, it was dry most of the day with odd patches of rain.

Overall it was incident free, but one car came to an unfortunate end.

Well, from what I could see:

Full throttle through Turn 2, stiff suspension bounced off ripple strip lifting LHS enough to lose traction.

Steering turned sharply into corner, instead of away from corner. Front of car bogged in a small ditch on the grass and managed to unsettle the car enough to flip it.

I felt very sorry for the owner as the car was in mint condition, and heavily modded.

Mods please remove picture if not suitable (or requested by owner).

As long as the number plate is rubbed out then it should be fine unless if the owner is uncomfortable with it being posted.

Do you guys count the kink down the straight as Turn 1?

Because officially that is turn 1 and I can't see why someone would be flat chat on turn 2???

The owner is fine, he's from my work. It flipped near the top of the hill, and the car wasn't highly modified as mentioned above. It had some basic bolt ons and ECU which, thankfully, most is salvagable and can be sold off to recover some cost.
