      who knows?

2.5 million sold, and no "reported" problems?

it has been tested and granted "Genuine Parts" status by six major motor vehicle manufacturers in Japan, including Toyota ,Nissan ,Mazda ,Mitsubishi ,Subaru and Isuzu.

so i guess that might make you feel more comfortable... :dontknow:

BTW, if this is better than normal, why wouldn't car manufacturers install them from factory? I mean even if you got an oil change done at the dealers, it would make it easier for them to drain oil... so why wouldn't they install something like this in the first place?

we should force memebrs here who track most often in order to contribute to the community as a parts tester ...... so ummmmmmmm

just like tinker says it introducese one more possibility of something fucking up. No matter how u go about it a single nut is alot less failable then say a valve mechnisim. Just simple logics............

FYI - some levels of "proper" race cars have to have their sump nuts "wired" so they cant come undone!!!

Yup...Not even with proper race cars....My Sump Plug, Gear box drain/Filler plugs and Oil Filter are all safety wired. Just paranoid from my motorcycle racing days.

You need a safety wire plier and some high tensile safety wire.

You can buy plugs that are pre-drilled, but I had to drill holes in mine.
You safety wire it in such a way that it "pull" the plug in a tighten direction.

For Oil filter, clamp a hose clamp around the filter to fit the safety wire.
