How about Watson Bay pass Edgecliff...?? The park/beach over is almost pitch black if i remember correctly the last time i bring a .........Dohs.......went there last time to take New Year fireworks...

the moon is very close to the earth (and relatively huge), so light pollution doesnt affect us seeing it too much...

BUT the ocean spray from beach /rock waves DOES affect veiwing...

avoid coastal areas...

the inner harbour should be OK though

Watson Bay.....as the name said, is a bay side coastal area. Virtually no wave at all
