just get VHT paint from Autone /Supercheap - http://www.speco.com.au/vht.html

remove rocker cover, clean with "wax and grease remover" and spray a couple of coats....

              hey tinks,
regarding spraying your own rocker cover.
How do you go abouts getting the lettering and H emblem on it silver? DO you spray the whole thing the color your want and then sand it off the lettering?

                yup, use sand paper...

i use an electric sander - best way to do this is wait for paint to fully dry - 2-3 days,

then use duct tape to cover up the rest of the rocker cover - this prevents a slight "slip" of the electric sander from ruining the job

VHT have a "wrinkle" paint in red. Use that.
Put vaseline over the lettering and afterwards just wipe it off.

Not really worth to buy a new 1, is it any damage? if not, just do the correct way to get rid of the red paint, then u can leave the cam cover as the silver, or get VHT spray paints to colour it, it is dead easy job.
