So can someone explain the games format for the Asian Cup for me?

Every team is in a group of 4.
A win gets 3 points.
Draw gets 1 point.
Loss gets 0 points.

Australia have played 2 of 3 countries in their group already, last to play is Thailand. But what I want to know is, do we play each country a second time? Because I was reading the rules online and it says "double round robin" and "home and away games"... Does that mean Australia still have a chance to advance to the quarters?

GD = Goal Differance
We play everyone one in our group (group a[Thailand, Oman, Iraq]) once.

At the moment, australia NEED to win against Thailand to have a chance to get into the next round.

If Australia Beat Thailand, Australia will be equal with Thailand on points.

but after doing that table... australia need to win by 4 goals to equal with them... can someone clarify this....

I just checked the results...
Thailand have scored 3 and Australia 2.
So we have to score 2 and keep them at 0 in order for us to be runner up in our group?

Edit: I didn't see the 'goal difference' part... Both Thailand and Iraq are on 2 and Australia and Oman on -2. So I think we do have to score 4 to be equal 2nd with Thailand. Is that going to be hard to do? I haven't seen Thailand play.

Apparently, South East Asian teams are doing very well, big surprises.

Vietnam 2 - 0 UAE (wonderful game) , draw 1 - 1 with Qatar (a bit lucky)

Thailand drawed Iraq and beat Oman

Indonesia 2 - 1 Bahrain, and lost to Saudi Arabia at the very last minute (pity for them)

Aussies bring the best players over trying to be the "New King of Asia", but owned hard by Iraq who does not even have a soccer leage
