EL - you *had* to buy a new car due to lease or whatever, so you had no chance to buy the R...

that is bad luck.

but the fact is that the R and the S are fundamentally different, despite the many similarities.

and you got that fundamental difference in one - the "red H" philosophy!

with the DC5 series - Honda Australia decided (or Honda Japan decided) to not market the "true R" in Australia.

they went soft with the DC5R and even softer with the DC5S...

shame on Honda.

After reading all these posts I find out one thing......EL_DC5 love his S and from what he post he believes S>R...but mate....thats all depends on how you feel about your own car bro....like every mom think their child looks better then others......They are different car for honda marketing department.....I think both are great car coz we all love ITR here....no matter DC2 or DC5.....R or S......WE are here to share our experience while we own our car......there is no > or < for me......even you get the most powerful car in there doesn't mean you can do good lap time......I am a track whore and I dun like drag racing......both need skills but I reckon drag is gay......learn how to start like a rocket on drag is not that hard.....but how to get good lap time is hard....really hard.....thats my own opinion....but knowing how to drive doesn't mean you are everything......I personally think this thread is useless.....just create more arguement.....like comparing orange and apple.....both car have different engine...engine management system in the ECU...so there is no way to compare......my 2 cent......

one more thing.....in my memory there is no version of best motoring is comparing the steeling feeling for pre and face lift model.....can you tell me which edition is it so I can do some study?
