    ClubITR possible CAMS affiliated club?

Well we got plenty of people interested in track, those who already do the occasional track day and others who compete in trackday events (supersprint, hill climb events, etc). I haven't been on ClubITR for long but i notice theres plenty of expression for trackdays and i haven't seen any ClubITR organised trackday events. If i had the right contacts i'd be willing to organise trackday events for the club like monthly or quaterly track events.

Out of curiosity would it be possible for ClubITR to become a CAMS affiliated club ? and what would need to be done to become one? I'm sure plenty of our members would gain a lot of benefits, and we'd have great support if we were to apply for a CAMS license. Another leap for ClubITR!

        1. too expensive to start-up
        2. most people are already a member of a CAMS club who is into tracking...
        3. the legal liability is burdensome...

but if you wnat CAMS advice, or car club advice...

i was the Club Captain at HCCNSW for a few years, so i can answer most questions...

Looking at the amount of things that a CAM afflicated club need to do on a constant bases, it is a big step & responsibility. Not to mention about the amount of staff needed in each club to voluteer and make it work. This is what i see during my time in NSCC (Nissan Sports Car Club)

also - i am competing (along with 3 other CITR members) in the NSW Supersprint Championship this year...

this kinda pretty serious with 8 rounds and trophies!
              http://forum.clubitr.com.au/showthread.php?t=1243

but you dont have to be in the championship to enter a single round...

if you want to experience the track, in a way that is fairly gentle on your car, a supersprint is perfect!

the next event is at Wakefield on this Sunday,

but the next two rounds after that are at Oran Park, on 1 July and 28 July...

come along to watch (free), or enter for around $170...

              supersprints are very cool events...

as are Motorkhana events (only $50 entry) and very educational!!!
