    HID Kits

    Hey guys,

Since i've got a blown connector and my wires are burnt out... lol I was wondering if anyone can recommend some HID kits ? The last time i looked was last year at some Raybrig ones around 800$ from memory. I tried posting my other threads/posts but i haven't got any responses.

I'm after something with a large span of distance coverage, width and length (if my engrish makes sense haha). And of course good lightining/brightness.

    Cheers.

Well, on my current ride I have some crap called Moto Mate 7000k (white with a blue tinge). It's no Raybrig but it cost me $350 3 years ago (which was a bargain when entry level HID kits were 1k!!). Improved my lighting immensely as I used to do alot of night "driving" on the Old Road etc.. had to adjust beam levels to ensure I didn't piss the cops off!

Ballast have been reliable and as have the bulbs in 3yrs none of them have given me any grief and worth every cent! It's probably much cheaper these days as HID kits are very common.

XenonOZ is also a good co. to check out with plenty of local backing and buyback offers etc. But I recall it's quite exxy, I guess you pay for the service.

O/T - Trev did I miss something? you bought a new car??

umm... i have a set of HIDs for sale.... however, one of the ballasts is faulty, everything else works perfectly... if one of ur ballast still work from ur current HID kit, u can probably replace one of ur ballasts with mine, and have a new set of HIDs for relatively cheap.... im sellin the HID kit for $120 shipped... the brand is ENON and its 7500K... PM me if ur interested...

hm... im still currently running a bulb setup hence why im looking for a HID kit.

Also does anyone know the size difference between the Spoon steering wheel and the standard DC2R steering wheel? The DC2R one seems a bit too big for my liking

I got mine a couple weeks ago from www.carmate.com.au - in Villawood, $250.
My kit doesnt have a problem (8000k) but a mate's (who bought at the same time) 6000k, flickers a little but works.

or you could try searching the ClubITR technical forums?

get something with a relay that powers the HIDs straight from the battery.
