so yeah.. my partition question.. i think i'll just use extended.. it's like a logical drive, so you can't boot from it but you can access your files from it

unless you plan on further partitioning the extended drive into 50 other drives, i wouldnt really recommend it. What benefits would it offer over going with primary partitions?

i agree dont bother.. you dont need more than 4 partitioning per HD neway.. really.. do you?

i just thought the benefit was that when the PC boots.. it just looks for the primary drive (although you did mention the boot.ini thing so it's ok)
i just need 2 partitions for this hdd.. the system one.. and the rest is all my stuff, so i thought it'll be ok to just choose extended based on what i thought was a benefit (above)
