Buy any laptop as long as it doesn't have a new matshita DVD-Ram Drive..

Or you going to have all kind of problems with RPC-1 Driver for them.. Even ANyDVD doesnt even work on most of these matshita drives anymore..

I've got a Matshita in my HP here at work...I don't seem to be having any issues with it...

But then again, I hardly use it...

i wouldnt know. i've only got the windows version

when i'm in OSX, I run aperture. i really dont like the GUI though, because its just icons and no text.. not very intuitive at all...

I've got a Matshita in my HP here at work...I don't seem to be having any issues with it...

But then again, I hardly use it...

you cant patch it to watch all region dvd.. and currently there no software to fake it either...

vista is crap, i'm running it now, battery life on laptop is worse, driver support is bad, games OMG gg.
If your looking to get a laptop get something with C2D and at least 1gig ram that would be on the list of min requirements.

i also run Slackware (linux) much faster and better then windows
