I recently found out that the battery grip for the 20D has a compartment to store the actual battery cover when the grip is attached to the body. It was mind boggling! :O

I have my battery cover in my camera bag. I keep a compact flash card in the battery grip instead just in case I quickly grab the camera without any memory cards loaded in it. I've done it before... hehe

U know whats funny Mugsee did that before toOO!!!..

well he forgot to bring his Big 4 gig card and was left with 1 Gig which was almost useless =P...

1gb card isnt useless in the 20D. it's good for 107 raw shots.

It sure as hell beats having no card at all.

actually i was going to ask..

What is so special about RAW format and the JPEG? i do know JPEG is already compressed and prolly not as good as raw..

but my main question is what does RAW hold that JPEG does not?

right now i use JPEG because im supernoob.. but when i get my 4 gig card ima move over to RAW.

from what I know raw is a dump of what the sensor captures.
when you process raw you can adjust exposure, wb etc. so if you take a bad shot (technically, not composition wise) you might be able to correct it.

It's pretty cool actually Manny. Ideally if I had enough storage and time to mess around with every image, I'd use it all the time. Reality is that I don't, so JPEG is far more practical...

Maybe I'll give it a go this weekend...shoot some RAW shots of the beast

if you dont have enough time to go through each and every raw file, you can batch process them anyway. It will still come up how the camera captured it, but you have the versatility of going back on images that might need a bit of fixing up and correct exposure or white balance issues, without losing too much detail.

Ive got a Sony DSCT10 7.2 MP Camera. Very slim and takes good photos i rekn. BUt has like no zoom.
