we have one of those super old ones.. that are less than 1 Mp.. uses 4 AA batteries and weight more than a SLR with NO Zoom..

it still works.. but no one wants to use it =P.. made by olympus =P..

ohh and i forgot to mention it has no Memory Card option memory is inbuilt.. has 32 megs =P.. i think.. i forget... ahha

Canon Powershot Axx 3.2MP - suprisingly, it served me quite well - easy functionality - above average photo quality - BUT - used 4 heavy AA batts.

Canon S3 IS - great camera for a point and shoot - plenty of options - excellent photo quality once tweaked and tested - love the sepia on it! - BUT heavy and still uses 4 AA batts

Get this right... I order my EF 50mm F1.8 II lens, so I tell JCE, he rings up and orders the same one. The pricks ring HIM up to tell him his lens came in, didn't bother to ring me!!!!! [/rant] LOL

Anyways... I recently purchased with the help of Christmas gifts a Canon 400D along with the 17-85mm EF-S IS USM lens...

I love the camera, I just wish I could make more opportunities and time to use the thing and learn more about photography generally...

the 50mm f1.8 is a bargain buy! great to learn and improve your composition techniques too since you aren't spoilt by zoom.

I think you need to learn to use your camera before buying a flash

yeh i have a tripod.. i know that if you take night photos you goto use tripod and NEVER use the flash =P and some long ass exposure times.. i cant quite working how ISO and aperture works though..

i was reading up on it and they keep using this stop method.. 1 stop 2 stop and shit =P..

Im very happy with my old canon . I think 5 years of servitude and 6000+ snaps
