Doesn't look that much different to gt4? The rendering of the background looks horrible too.

On a side note, im kind of disapointed with the ps3. I was expecting something a little bit more. I thought by now they would have been able to reproduce reality like graphics.

reality like graphics? i doubt it. i doubt anything can come close to it at the moment including computer rendered graphics, close but not quite

for real time rendering it's pretty good.
CG in movies aren't rendered in real time, it takes days/weeks to render scenes normally using clusters of computers.

lol right. You'll eat those words once you see it in 1080p and compare them.

If I gave you a car that's guaranteed to do a 50sec laptime at Wakefield, but you can only achieve 1min 05secs.
Is it the cars fault that the claim of 50secs wasn't achieved?

Now if you drove the same car for a year, you just might see your laptimes drop considerably compared to that of a year ago. The cars setup didn't change, it was you who improved!

Likewise it takes time to understand how the architecture works, trial and errors, over time developers will get the hang of how game consoles work and be able to push them to their limits.

Just go look at any first generation game (PS2, Ridge Racer) and compare them to games just before the consoles dies out (PS2, Gran Turismo 4). A world of difference from a graphical point of view, since developers learnt so much throughout the lifespan of the console.

Just be happy that Polyphony Digital is kind enough to even release this demo free of charge.

The most expensive is not always the best, but the best is always expensive.
