Miss's just brought the Nikon D7000 with 18-105mm lens. Such a complex camera, And we both seem to suck at using it. Any help or suggestions

I'm using a d800 now which is similar and basically easiest to learn is A setting or aperture priority. Play around with apertures to get your head around all the basic fundamentals

I got the 18-105 kit lens with mine when I got it. It's a great lens
Other than that I recommend full frame lenses but they come at a massive price. 70-200 VR21995 Honda Civic EG (K20)
