Each cars keys would have been there for the taking obiviosuly they woud have to move the car around in the garage too.

They have windows, though it is all covered with security bars.

Since the customer's cars were left at BEL, then isn't it BEL's problem considering it was left under there care?

Yeah, Product liabilities... but you can also make the claim and ask the shop to pay your excess. You may get more since your own insurance will do everything for you rather than waiting for "their own insurance" to respond

Yup, you are right, or in the shop somewhere. Now see what the insurance going to say. 75% of agreed value in some circumstances, for eg, non-factory items and no invoice for part/all items, mileage, security, valuable items in the car... etc. There were so many cases that ppl make up the figure.

All they can do is claim the insurance

They will be ok if they bought "business interruption" and "money". Liabilities insurance is a must so don't worry about it.
