Fucken hell!
So I've been looking for a Jeep Cherokee for god knows how long.
Finally found one in Melb, black, turbo diesel, 2003 model.
This is the one, please don't prank call him @ 2am in the morning.

So I forked out $220 to get the inspection.
Inspection turns out to be ok to buy, seller asks me for a copy.
As soon as I gave him a copy of it he hasn't picked up my calls or
replied to my SMS. A few friends have called him and he picks up 2nd ring!!!!

I have since seen it listed by a dealer, same rego and VIN.

So if you buy a 2nd hand car, don't ever give them a copy of the inspection report!

the inspection person should have TOLD YOU NOT TO GIVE THE INSPECTION REPORT TO THE VEHICLE OWNER

Be thankful you didn't get the Jeep.

Doesn't matter what kind they are they drink petrol like there is no tomorrow.

I used to have a limited edition 5.9L grand cherokee V8, and It used to finish off 110Liters of fuel in under 500Km.

It was freaking fast 0 - 100 in just under 7 secs, but damn you would floor it and thegas needle would just start dropping.

I still advise against buying an american car in australia.

Parts will be very expensive, although the older Jeeps like the first gen grand cherokee is very well designed and easy to repair.

But every now and then things do break and they are majorly expensive to repair.

No idea, but my legal advisor has said I should let the guy know I will be seeking a refund of the report directly or through the small claims court if he doesn't sell to me at the agreed value.
