    New EP3 in Perth

    Hi guys,

    Just joined, so thought I would say hi ;

Moved downunder from the Uk about 2.5 years ago, and finally got my EP3 shipped over, as I couldn't bear selling it after I've just got it how I like it. It also seems to be worth about double the price of that in the Uk atm

    It's a 2003 CTR EP3 (UKDM) in Nighthawk Black.

    Mods as follows ;

    Mugen airbox and front grille
    Intake manifold heatshield gasket
    JDM PRC intake manifold
    Toda N2 cams
    Toda valve springs
    Hondata k-pro ecu (dyno tuned)
    Supersprint 4-1 exhaust manifold
    Supersprint sports catalyst
    Toda hi power catback exhaust
    J's-Racing engine torque damper
    Energy Suspension engine mounts
JDM front anti-roll / sway bar
JDM rear anti-roll / sway bar
Spoon Sports progressive springs (25mm drop)
    Adjustable rear camber arms
    Fast road setup (wheel alignment/camber)
    Earthing kit
    Mugen Oil Cap
    Mugen Radiator cap
Spoon Sports carbon fibre manifold cover
    Spoon Sports Titanium shift knob
Polarg Shining Wizards H4 headlight and front sidelight bulbs
    Clutchmasters Stage 1 clutch
    Clutchmasters Lightened flywheel
    Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential

Power output (confirmed on Dynodynamics dyno) :

    197 bhp @wheels
    240 bhp @ flywheel

    147 kW @ wheels
    179 kW @ flywheel

I know there are a few in WA already, but haven't seen any driving round Perth. Seen a couple of DC5's though.

Anyone know where I can get a km/h speedo / clock cluster to replace my mph ones ?

    Cheers

    Jon

Hi guys - thanks for your welcomes

I think all my pics are still on my pc in the UK. Did have some on my UK ISP webspace, but this was cancelled.

The car arrived in a container at Freo last night, so may be up to a couple of weeks clearing customs / AQIS, before I get my hands on it. Will take some new pics then.

Philip - yes, using stock shocks (Spoon progressives are designed to work fine with them). Excellent mod.

The best suspension mod for the money, was fitting the JDM rear anti-roll bar, which is thicker than the UKDM one (the excuse is that the roads are smoother in Japan than the UK). Seemed to dial out a lot of understeer when powering through tight corners.

Will post some pics as soon as I get my hands on it again

I also have a couple of spares in the container - a DC Sports 4-2-1 race manifold/header (de-cat), and a Spoon N1 backbox if anyones's intersted.

                Cheers

                    Hey Jon.

Hope you got all your permits from Customs / DOTARS before you brought your car in

I work around freo, so my Teg is always out on the street there.

EP3 personal import from UK, well done.

Supersprint exhaust king dick stuff indeed, mostly overlooked in a sea of JDM and US stuff other than those how are in Euro cars.

Was this your daily transport JonCTR back in the UK or your also punt it around many great tracks around the UK?

Thanks guys - yes, got my personal import approval before importing. It was my daily drive, but for the last year in UK, I was going on the train everyday to London for work, so just having a blast at the weeknd.

Supersprint - as you say, mainly for Italian cars etc. I was a bit apprehensive putting a euro exhaust part on a Honda, but all seems good. I had the DC Sports race header (decat) on before, but it was a pain in the arse having to change it out every year to pass the emissions test for the UK MOT. I was also told it was a big fine here for running without a cat, so bought the Supersprint race header and sport cat second hand from the UK CTR forum. The sport cat passed the UK emissions test, and doesn't seem too restrictive. Sounds like once I get it inspected here for the rego, no one will check it again, so could re-instate the DCRH.

Steve - sorry, sold the cat back Spoon b-pipe in the UK, so its only the back box I have now. Good exhaust, but a bit drony and loud on the motorway everyday with a race header. The Toda's quieter, with the same sort of performance.
